1.  Using the school laptop at home

Equipment you have:

• HP Laptop

• Laptop case

• Headphones

• Laptop charger

Login

1. Press ctrl + alt + delete at the same time.

2. Press ok.

3. Enter your student portal user name with @detnsw after it. 

   • firstname.surname@detnsw

4. Enter your password.

   • iecdem1 or 2, 3, 4

5. Press enter.

Connect to the wifi

1. Click on the wifi button in the bottom right hand corner.

1. Select your home wifi network. Click connect automatically. Press Connect.

1. Enter the password in the box. Press next.

1. The network is connected when it says connected, secured.

Things you must do:

• Shut down the laptop at the end of each day.

• Plug it in to recharge.

• Care for the laptop like it is yours.

Or download the  Google Classroom app onto your phone 

1. Go to https://education.nsw.gov.au/

2. Go to the ‘Student Portal’. It is on the right side of the page. 

3. Log in: First Name.Last Name    Your password is IECDEM___

4. Go to ‘My Learning’ and click GSuite. 

5. Click on Drive or Go to Classroom.
