Information for Parents/Guardians and Students

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students, 

We hope that you are all well and staying safe in these difficult times. Term 3 will begin with online/remote learning from Tuesday 13th July, 2021 until we are advised of any changes. Please note the following information regarding remote learning: 

• We are ensuring everyone’s safety, therefore parents are encouraged to keep their children at home as there will be minimal supervision at school.  
• Parents/guardians/relatives are not permitted on school premises. Please call our school office on       (02) 9602 1858 for any enquiries. 
• Our SLSOs will call all parents/guardians on their mobiles and inform any changes or regarding school work. 
• Up-to-date information will be posted for the students on Google Classroom and the IEC website. 
• We will provide laptops for students, please be informed that arrangements will be made for the laptops to be picked up from school grounds. Our SLSOs will call and make an appointment with you so that you can collect the laptops in an orderly manner. 

Students: 

• Please organise a learning area/space where you are comfortable for online learning. 
• Make yourself available to start school work at 9:00 am. 
• Your teachers will post all school work on Google Classroom. 
• The tasks on Google Classroom will have a due date and time, please follow your teacher’s instructions and try your best to complete each set task.  
• If you need support, SLSOs will be available in some of your Google Classrooms or inform your teacher. 
• Engage in healthy conversations with your teacher and your classmates when learning online. 
• Lastly, ensure that you are taking time off screen (including your mobile device), drink plenty of water and get sufficient sleep. 

How to access G Suite from your laptop or computer: 

1. Go to https://education.nsw.gov.au/

2. On the top-right side of the page you will see 'Log in'. Click on it and go down to ‘Student Portal’ and select it.

3. Login is your:  First Name.Last Name    >   iecdem___

4. Go to ‘My Learning’ and click ‘GSuite’. 

5. Click on ‘Drive’ or ‘Classroom’.
